Relaunch of Ecotrust’s Salmon Nation concept as an independent venture by Spencer Beebe, Ian Gill, Chris Brookfield and Cheryl Chen, framing the territory from the Sacramento River to the Yukon as a nature state rather than a nation state. Its boundary follows the historical range of Pacific salmon. Later spawned the bioregional finance arm Salmon Returns, led by Cheryl Chen.
